Treks are an amazing opportunity for admitted and first-year MBA students to connect with a range of top-tier companies looking for MBA talent. The treks run through June and July every summer and focus on the following industries: finance, consulting, technology, marketing/retail, and healthcare. Due to COVID-19, all 2021 treks will take place virtually. Each trek has a different industry focus and allows students to get a feel for a “day in the life”. Applications are now open!
Finance TrekJune 10-11, 2021 Virtual
Working in finance can be a lucrative career with many different paths to success. Whether the interest lies in investment banking, risk management, or one of the many other areas in finance, this trek is a great place for admitted and first-year LGBT+ MBAs to increase their understanding of the opportunities that one can pursue.
The 2020 participating companies included Bank of America, Credit Suisse, DE Shaw, Deutsche Bank, Discover, Federal Reserve Bank of NY, JP Morgan, KKR, Morgan Stanley, and PIMCO. The 2021 list of participating companies will be released in the spring.
Consulting TrekJune 24-25, 2021 Virtual
Is a career in consulting right for you? What sorts of skills make for a good consultant? This trek is designed as a learning and networking opportunity for admitted and first-year LGBT+ MBAs to understand the world of consulting. Participants will hear from a number of consultants and leave with the knowledge of differences between major firms, what opportunities there are to join the workforce, and an understanding of real-life expectations in this exciting industry.
The 2020 participating companies included Accenture, Bain, The Boston Consulting Group, EY Parthenon, and ZS Associates. The 2021 list of participating companies will be released in the spring.
Healthcare TrekJuly 9, 2021 Virtual
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts the employment of Healthcare Managers will grow at least 23 percent between 2012 and 2022, providing many opportunities to join this essential workforce. Admitted and first-year MBAs can join this trek to learn more about the different backgrounds and experiences of employees working in leading healthcare companies, and what they're doing to provide solutions to some of the biggest issues in the healthcare system.

Technology TrekJuly 12-13, 2021 Virtual
How do you find out where your place is in a world where technology is changing and evolving every day? From start-ups to tech giants, there are as many opportunities as there are businesses. Designed for admitted and first-year LGBT+ MBAs, this trek will give you a snapshot of culture and career from some of the world's leading tech companies.

Marketing & Retail TrekJuly 19-20, 2021 Virtual
If you're considering a career in marketing & retail, having an MBA can be invaluable to your career trajectory. Applying skills from your coursework such as analytical thinking, communication prowess, and the ability to lead and deliver strategic projects can lead you to many different opportunities to influence how companies produce and market their products. This trek is designed as a learning and networking opportunity for admitted and first-year LGBT+ MBAs to connect with employees from leading companies who have found success in this industry.
