Rich Chicotel LGBTQ+ Leadership Award

Richard A. Chicotel served as the CFO of Shorenstein Properties, one of the country’s most distinguished real estate organizations, for many years until his unexpected death in 2012. After his passing, Rich left behind a legacy of commitment to the LGBTQ+ MBA community, to service, and to mentorship.

The goal of the Rich Chicotel LGBTQ+ Leadership Award is to highlight those MBA students and/or recent alumni who are following in Rich’s footsteps, including his commitment to the community, to service, and to mentorship. For more information on Rich’s legacy, click here.

Award winners will receive a $2,500 cash award for each recipient, a presentation of the award at the ROMBA Conference, and much more. A full list of award benefits may be found on the nomination page.

If you would like to nominate someone, our nomination form will open up on Monday, June 3 to coincide with the registration for our ROMBA Conference. While we are open to self-nominations, being nominated by another party provides for a stronger application. Please note that we encourage only one (1) nomination per individual. All nominations must be submitted no later than Sunday, August 11 at 11:59 pm PST.
