Digital Code of Conduct

Welcome to the Reaching Out MBA Slack Community! We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members. To ensure that everyone can enjoy a positive experience, we have established the following Code of Conduct. By participating in our community, you agree to abide by these guidelines.

  1. Respect and Inclusivity:
  • Treat all members with respect, regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, ability, religion, or any other personal characteristic.
  • Use inclusive language that acknowledges and respects diverse identities and experiences. You can refer to this style guide for examples around inclusive language. Include some examples? 
  1. Harassment-Free Environment:
  • Harassment, bullying, and discrimination will not be tolerated. This includes engaging in any act of discourteous conduct, the use of abusive language or hate speech, rudeness, or similar acts.
  1. Privacy and Consent:
  • Do not share personal information about other members without their explicit consent.
  • Respect individual privacy and avoid discussing sensitive topics unless the person has indicated their willingness to engage.
  1. Appropriate Content:
  • Keep discussions and content relevant to the LGBTQ+ business community, professional development, and related topics.
  • Do not post explicit, offensive, or NSFW (Not Safe for Work) content.
  1. Constructive Communication:
  • Engage in thoughtful, constructive, and respectful discussions. Disagreements are allowed, but personal attacks and insults are not.
  • Stay on topic and avoid derailing conversations.
  1. No Promotions or Spam:
  • Avoid excessive self-promotion, advertisements, or spamming the community.
  • Share resources, events, or opportunities that are relevant to the community and promote meaningful engagement.
  1. Reporting and Moderation:
  • If you witness or experience any violation of this Code of Conduct, report it to the ROMBA Staff community administrators at info@reachingoutmba.org.
  • Administrators have the right to take appropriate actions, including warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans, depending on the severity of the violation.
  1. Be Supportive:
  • Offer support, advice, and encouragement to fellow community members.
  • Help create a positive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and heard.
  1. Continuous Learning:
  • Be open to learning from others and expanding your understanding of LGBTQ+ issues and experiences.
  • Embrace opportunities to educate yourself and engage in meaningful conversations.
  1. Community Growth:
  • Help us create a vibrant and active community by participating regularly, sharing your insights, and contributing positively.
